Jean E. Rhodes is Professor
Psychology at the University of Massachusetts in Boston. She received
her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from DePaul Unviersity in 1988 and completed
her clinical internship at University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine.
From 1989-1999, she was on faculty of the psychology department at the
University of Illinois. Her research focuses on both natural and assigned
mentoring relationships in adolescence and early adulthood. Rhodes is
a Fellow in the American Psychological Association and the Society for
Research and Community Action. She has published three books and more
than 40 articles and chapters on topics pertaining to mentoring. Rhodes'
other research interests include the transition to adulthood, adolescent
social development, and health behavior.
