| Young Adults in the United States:
A 2005 Profile |
| |
Rumbaut is developing a new and much expanded national-level
analysis of the status of young adults 18-34 in the U.S. and of
their adult transitions, focusing on three main groups: 18–24-year
olds; 25–29-year-olds; and 30–34-year-olds. The analysis
relies on the latest data from the 2005 Current Population Survey and
provides a mid-decade “update” that follows (in expanded
form) the profile produced for the Network in 2004 using data from
the 2000 census. The statistical work and data tables along with
an accompanying report will be presented to the Network at our
next meeting in August 2006. |
